Description
Water determination using the Karl Fischer method allows for the precise quantification of the moisture content of a sample, whether liquid, solid, or pasty. This reference method is particularly sensitive and suitable for low water contents, making it essential in the cosmetics, technical ingredients, food, polymers, oils, and nutritional powders sectors.
The analysis is based on a chemical reaction between the water present in the sample and a specific iodine-based reagent, using a volumetric or coulometric method depending on the water concentration. It allows moisture contents to be measured from a few ppm to several percent, with high reproducibility.
Typical matrices analyzed include: dry extracts, oils, waxes, resins, food or cosmetic powders, polymers, solvents, etc.
At YesWeLab , we collaborate with a rigorously selected network of laboratories, most of which are certified and/or accredited (ISO 17025, COFRAC, etc.). These laboratories are chosen based on your specific needs, the matrices to be analyzed, and the analytical techniques or methods required.
If you have any specific requirements, please do not hesitate to specify them when submitting your request: our scientific team makes every effort to respond accurately and responsively.
Since 2020, many manufacturers, distributors, and design offices have trusted us to manage their analyses, entrusting us with their samples via our digital platform.
