Description
Objective of the analysis
Flow curve analysis allows for the evaluation of a product's rheological behavior under various shear stresses. It provides information on the dynamic viscosity, fluidity, thixotropy, and plasticity of a fluid, suspension, or semi-solid product. It is an essential tool in formulation, quality control, and industrial process optimization.
It allows, in particular, to:
- Characterize the complete rheological profile of a fluid (viscosity vs. shear curve)

Methodology
The sample is subjected to increasing and decreasing shear stresses in a rheometer. A flow curve , allowing observation of the product's response to these stresses.
