Rubiadine is a natural anthraquinone extracted from madder (Rubia tinctorum). Historically used as a plant dye, it is also studied for its antioxidant properties. Its concentration is essential for the authentication of extracts and the standardization of natural dyes. Analysis is performed by HPLC-DAD or LC-MS. Materials include madder extracts, plant powders, and natural dyes.
