Description

Type II nutritional analysis relies on experimental analyses performed directly on the finished product, in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 (INCO). This method is recommended when the composition is complex, variable, or subject to changes during manufacturing processes. The parameters analyzed include: energy value, fat, saturated fatty acids, carbohydrates, sugars, protein, fiber, and salt. This approach ensures optimal accuracy for nutritional labeling and is particularly suitable for processed products, artisanal foods, or innovative recipes. Analyses are generally performed by chromatography, spectrometry, or titrimetry, depending on the compounds.
