Ecotoxicological test (microtox)

The Microtox test measures the toxicity of a sample based on the bioluminescence of marine bacteria (Aliivibrio fischeri). It can be used to assess the ecotoxicity of dissolved substances (effluents, cosmetics, biocides). Rapid and sensitive, it is a useful indicator in environmental safety initiatives.
