Description
The elastase inhibitory activity assay evaluates the ability of an extract or compound to inhibit elastase, an enzyme involved in the degradation of skin fibers.
It is used in anti-aging cosmetics. Produced in vitro by spectrophotometric or fluorimetric methods, it is applied to plant extracts, peptides or formulations.
