Description
This method calculates the energy value of a food or ingredient in kilocalories (kcal) or kilojoules (kJ), based on its protein, fat, carbohydrate, fiber, and alcohol content. The calculation method uses standard nutritional conversion factors (EC REG 1169/2011). Applicable categories: foods, supplements, and nutritional formulations.
